As the founder and lead details enthusiast at Spatial Compass, Liza leads the charge on all projects by offering a detail-oriented hands on approach to project management and client interaction. She has a sophisticated understanding of how details and materials come together and that is what sets her apart from others in the field.  The delight is in the details.

Liza has over 14 years of experience in New York's multifaceted high-end residential and commercial markets. This experience enables her to design in any style whether it be traditional, transitional, modern, or an eclectic mix of multiple styles.  She aims to create livable spaces that match the diverse lifestyles and spirits of her clients and enjoys guiding clients from concept to schematic design, through construction, and then eventually through owner move in.

Being involved in all phases of building allows Liza to successfully integrate with other architectural and design professionals, woodworkers, audio visual consultants, MEP & structural engineers, product vendors, working trades, and general contractors.

At Spatial Compass Studio we are always interested in expanding our collaborative community and are enthusiastic about connecting with new independent team members.  If you are an architect, interior designer, graphic artist, photographer, blog contributor,  or even a student interested in working with us please visit the contact page to submit your resume or send us a note.

"Liza Borzoni is indisputably one of the most talented individuals we have had the privilege to work with. The most critical aspect of any project, is a decisive architect/designer. What sets Liza apart from the rest of the industry, is an expert proficiency in shop drawing review. She understands the principles of assembly, joinery, and efficiency with eloquent comments/suggestions - this helps us approve drawings after their 1st review. We execute record breaking timelines due to this professionalism, as our work is followed by painters, electricians, plumbers and so forth. With so many moving parts on a construction project, we are continually impressed with her assertive demeanor and flexibility in decision making pertaining to critical engineering questions (at 7am when our craftsmen are fabricating and cannot proceed until we figure out Option A or Option B). Throughout our company’s 20 year history, Liza has been, and will continue to be, one of our top colleagues we yearn to work with repeatedly."

"I don’t know about you, but growing up my family was ALWAYS in the kitchen. So when we bought our new house I knew that I had to have a fabulous kitchen, that would work for eating, socializing and entertaining. Thank you spatialCOMPASS for helping make our dream come true."
